During my final semester of university, this was the last project I had worked on. As it was during the Covid-19 pandemic, I couldn't actually produce the piece so I made detailed renderings instead.

This is called the "Assemblight", a lamp idea that I came up with based on my design ethos that I had developed for myself throughout the semester. This lamp to me is a visual representation of myself as a designer, which features a combination of both my graphic and product design skills.

The idea is quite simple, it's a puzzle lamp where the only way to turn it on is to complete the puzzle. To turn it off, any piece can be removed and placed on top for display. The inspiration of this piece stemmed from the idea to teach users to appreciate their products and bring joy into their lives which is what I stand for. This lamp would have the agency to bring people together and collaborate to achieve one of the most important phenomena on the planet. As the user(s) carefully examine, feel, and rotate each piece before placing it, they can take a moment to admire where the materials came from and the stakeholders who helped get it to where it is. Once completed, this lamp, similar to a bonfire, becomes something the contributors can feel proud about, and perhaps a little joyful and satisfied. This then transforms the surrounding location into an area meant for socializing, meaningful discussions and long lasting memories.
