This logo was for a client who started is own fitness page with his friends called "Evolution Lifting Club". They wanted something solid looking that communicated fitness in some fashion.
Originally I worked with the "evolution" part in the name so I decided to integrate an arrow going upwards shaped as an easy curl barbell. An easy curl barbell is a classic piece of equipment that is found in almost all gyms so I thought it worked perfectly. Eventually I ended up making this the secondary logo and made a new one which fit the circle frame of the instagram display picture perfectly. As plates are also a classic piece of equipment, I decided to go with that but also still including the basis of the original idea.
