Grasshopper is a landscaping company who was looking for a logo for both seasons of their business, summer and winter. As an ex-landscaper myself, I had a lot of fun with this logo and absolutely loved the idea of the visual potential of a grasshopper. The idea of the insect as the central focus of the logo itself I figured would look great so I rolled with it!
Below displays my initial sketch of the concept as well as the first few vectorizing stages.
Once I had my sketch all traced out and vectorized, I slightly tweaked some areas and added small details like some shading and reflections. After the lawn care version was complete, I began drawing a few options for snow shovels. Below are the final two logos with a few examples of progression and variations on the side!
