Upside is a street-wear brand that I had chance to create a logo for and could not be happier with the outcome. The brand focusses on spreading positivity through fashion hence the name Upside, simply meaning there's always an upside to everything. Below are a few screenshots of their instagram page, with a few of their products (for now just hats).
Upside had a fairly simple request; they knew they wanted something modern/bold and impactful. They also wanted me to incorporate the use of arrows signifying up and down in some fashion.
Below are the first few steps of my process, first the sketches and then the font choice which is a font I designed in my second year at Concordia, I call it Zippy Regular. Originally it is quite a slim font but I modified it for the sake of creating a bold effect, and then used the 3D tool on illustrator. The third image displays a few of the arrow design concepts, and the connecting of the "U" to the "P".
Below shows the final two logos, the circular one being their secondary one as well as 4 variations in which were runners up in the final decision.
